Big Sean follows up changing Detroit by releasing this heartfelt clip for his Dark Sky Paradise single. The song which was written largely about his late Grandmother comes with the following description from Sean:
“One Man Can Change the World” serves as a homage to my late grandmother Mildred V. Leonard who went on to break through the ceilings of poverty, racism and sexism to become one of the first female Black Captains in WWII, before becoming one of the first Black female Police Officers in Detroit and serving an illustrious 30-year career with the Detroit Public School System as a teacher and counselor. I credits my grandmother for showing me that through hard work, commitment, perseverance and faith that anything is possible…
The touching video is definitely worth a look and enhances the emotional spirit of the song.
