Erykah Badu is gearing up to release her new mixtape, BUT U CAINT USE MY PHONE. Just last month the songstress released her remix to Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’ and has been previewing tracks from the mixtape on Periscope. In an exclusive interview with Fader, she says that every song will be phone related and will be released on iTunes at the end of the month (around Thanksgiving).
I think it’s a whole new frequency for the planet and I just wanted to do it because it’s inspiring me to write my new album–it’s kind of like the buffer in between.
