Must show the utmost respect for this SNL performance of California Love from Tupac. Pac takes his classic California Love and flips it, blending perfectly into So Many Tears. With help from the live band it makes for a different yet equally addictive sound. The way he took command of the stage was so passionaite. For all of his greatness Pac had his flaws but the passion in his art is the reigning quality that puts him into the ranks of the GOATS. ’96 was a rough year that gave the culture one of its toughest losses in his departure. It’s great to see moments like these to put the perspective on the positive side of his final year.
