Drewski Money adds to the growing list of artists expressing thoughts on the incidents of violence between police officers and citizens in America. Interpolating references from both Boosie and N.W.A., the track exposes the vulnerability and anger not only Drewski, but millions of men and women are feeling right now. A feeling of hopelessness and anger.
It may be a departure to what some are used to from Drewski but he does a fine job of getting his emotions across. One of the first steps of change is awareness and I commend him for trying to spread it. Song’s like these are needed to provoke thought, especially coming from a state with as deep of a racist past as Mississippi.
