SYPH ft. Tracy T – The Bag

For his latest effort, SYPH comes through with his new single, “The Bag,” featuring Tracy T. The dark but ultra-chilled record is produced by Toronto’s Pro Logic, a close collaborator of P. Reign’s. SYPH exercises a hazy, melodic flow — a common approach in the GTA — but he’s got lots of range within that style, whether it be his smooth murmuring on the hook of “The Bag” or the more visceral high notes he hits during his verses. Tracy T slows his flow to match the song’s murky tempo, and the two of them provide a sonic vision of a lifestyle fueled by “The Bag” and not much else. Tracy T isn’t the only MMG rapper whom SYPH has been working with; he’s also set to appear on Meek Mill’s highly anticipated DC4. Stay tuned for that as well as SYPH’s own mixtape, which is set to arrive before the summer’s over.
