SmooVth rekindles the feeling of early Jay-Z on “SS96J” album

SmooVth has long been a fixture here for his sharp flows and a style true to that of rap’s history. Today he is ready to showcase that style again with the release of “SS96J”, an acronym for Smoothest Since 96 Jay.

“When Jay-Z came in the game with his first album, he was the ‘voice of the hustlers.’ He brought a new style and confidence, with rhymes that made listeners visualize the street life through the eyes of a hustler. SS96J is my story. This is my Reasonable Doubt. I’m the smoothest since ’96 Jigga.”

To help recreate that feeling of “Reasonable Doubt”, SmooVth calls upon  some usual suspects like Hus Kingpin, Marvelous Mag, Sage Infinite and Sean Rosati, as well as Planet Asia, Big Twins and more.
