“Angel Wings” is a new video by Chicago underground legend Marty Popstar. He brings a quick paced auto-tuned flow to the track which has a bouncy melodic beat. The combination makes for a high energy track that is unforgettable. The fast flow in the chorus followed by the soft layered singing vocals is a very nice touch. The verses are insightful and tell a story about choices one must make in life. The flirtatious vibe keeps the song fun while the topic gets serious at times.
The music video features Marty dancing in an anonymous room of someone’s (or his own) house. Almost like the typical underground rap video that you see nowadays except the artist in this one is very different. Marty comes off as an over the top cartoon character who happens to rap, instead of the normal cliche one expects from a modern rap artist. Overall yet another interesting track and music video by Marty Popstar.
