Dolla Black and Savvy have long stood as two of the better raps in the city of Jackson, MS. Though they’ve done well for themselves, they test the theory of “strength in numbers” with the official release of their joint project “Black Crown”. The 10 track set marks the formation of Blk Crwn as a duo using their wittyness, street sense and impeccable production choice to drive a project that’s as good as any to come from the state this year. Joining the pair on the project is Charles Palmer (who also carries the bulk of production) and T Lo Da Champ. A personal standout to me is “Sacrifices”, but I highly recommend giving the whole tape a run. Listen below and purchase now via Bandcamp.
