Freya drops her debut single “Blame”

Growing up London, Freya soaked up the sounds of her city, most notably 90’s garage music, pop, RnB and more recent advocates of alternative-pop, including Frank Ocean, Little Dragon and Dev Hynes. Blending both her musical influences and experiences together in songwriting, it didn’t take long for Freya to start working with like-minded artists and musicians in London’s music scene. A former lawyer, her first few years of song writing slowly developed, leading to many exciting co-writes and collaborations.

Now in between working with other artists she is stepping forward and releasing her own music, Freya’s debut single ‘Blame’ is about turmoil in a confided relationship. On the influence of the song, Freya comments:

“’Blame’ is about taking responsibility for the people we attract into our lives. The opening lyric “Everything I hate about you I am” summarises the sentiment of the song.”
