ANE‘s new Lonely Lovers Fantasy EP is largely an exploration of the different emotions faced when recovering from trauma and the loss of love (or potential love). The project’s Malcolm Fong-produced lead single “It Is What It Is” is an autobiographical tale about maneuvering through the fast-paced, non-committal, modern era of dating. In the song’s SquareOne Ent. and Miami Golde-directed video, premiered by The FADER, ANE confronts her conflicting feelings about moving on from a former fling.
