Sasha Atlas Writes Love Letter In New Song “If I Drown”

“Heaven,” rising star recording artist Sasha Atlas’s latest single, has drawn a lot of attention from fans both new and old who can’t get enough of the artist’s refreshing new sound. And they will continue to be given more doses of Atlas’s new sound as she drops her quick follow-up single in “If I Drown.” The deep-diving Konstantin Korsakov production is Atlas’s best work yet.

The upbeat track swims deep into high-watered territory and flirts with the idea that when true love holds you down, you’re supposed to drown. Atlas’s lyrics are soothingly hypnotizing, like waves racing to shore that echo into the night, and provide bliss in the melodies. Atlas credits the song’s origin to her relocations during the pandemic.

“When I lived and worked in New York, my life was so uptight and overwhelming,” said Atlas. “I was underwater and I needed to get out. During the pandemic, I moved to Florida to try to slow down and breathe. That’s not what was in store for me, though. Instead, I was met with a city and with a person that took my breath away. ‘If I Drown’ is a love letter to Miami and to the feeling of being so head over heels for someone that you worry you’ll lose yourself.”

“If I Drown” follows Atlas’s breakout EP, On Fire, which includes buzzing singles “Ember In The Dark,” “Walls,” and “The Flame.” Atlas’s latest single adds to the artist’s growing catalog that released its latest single, “Heaven,” in May on the artist’s own imprint. Both “Heaven” and “If I Drown” are the perfect origin point for newfound fans as the artist continues to rise up the mainstream landscape.

As “If I Drown” continues to grow, Atlas prepares to capitalize on her latest EP with an anticipated follow-up full-length album, currently untitled, coming soon. To stay updated on everything, Sasha Atlas, feel free to follow her on social media.
