Detroit Rapper Rixh Prez Gains Buzz with “BAE” Video

Detroit rapper Rixh Prez is making noise with his latest release, “BAE”, and the numbers don’t lie. The official music video has already hit 8.9K views on YouTube, powered by organic traction, TikTok support, and a message that resonates with women who know exactly what they want.

“The vision behind ‘BAE’ was just fitting in my normal day and shooting a video,” Rixh says. “My jeweler and my camera man came up with the theme on the spot.”

Shot by his longtime collaborator Masalis, the video captures a lighthearted and playful side of Rixh Prez—one fans haven’t seen often. Known for his real-life bars and serious tone, this record is more flirtatious and fun, with bloopers and laughs caught naturally on set.

“I’m naturally silly so I had everyone laughing,” he admits.

“BAE” was created with women in mind. Rixh wanted to drop something that speaks directly to the female audience, no matter the vibe. “The goal was always to speak to the females,” he explains. “A song for them to be whatever they feel—classy or ratchet.”

And while the video is picking up on YouTube, “BAE” is also catching attention on TikTok, especially with nightlife girls, dancers, and creators who relate to lines like:
“All bad bihs want racks and I hit this freaky girl too good, now she attached.”

“All them bars came from real life,” Rixh laughs. “I feel like all females wanna be provided for or get some good love—but sometimes it makes them crazy.”

Even though it’s a new sound for him, Rixh says “BAE” represents where he’s going next musically. “It’s something different from my normal music but it’s something I will continue to do.” While it’s not a strip club record, he says it’s “definitely made to have fun with” and wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up on radio.

As for chasing numbers and trends? That’s not Rixh’s focus.

“I try not to pay attention to the numbers. I keep my head down and get to the money.”

He’s building his brand in his own lane, staying grounded in Detroit’s crowded music scene by simply being himself. “It’s so much music out—you’ll get lost. The only way I can stay pure is just keep being me.”

“BAE” also marks a visual shift for the artist. “I usually don’t put females in my videos so it showed a softer side of me in my opinion.”

With more music on the way, Rixh Prez is focused on consistency, creativity, and connecting with his audience. “What’s next for me is just keep making new music. Hit every category and build the brand bigger.”
