Ok, Jay Electronica isn’t happy with Kendrick Lamar. After mentioning how Cartoons and Cereal was the only song he was a fan of when it comes to Kendrick a few weeks back he has now called the rapper out on record. “Maaaan, fuck these white people/My grandmother died at 82 scrubbing floors/And n*ggas still running around begging for awards.”, Electronica responds when Kendrick’s 11 Grammy nominations were brought up by a backing vocal on the track. Time will be the answer for whether this will go much further but Jay Electronica is clearly marking his stance.
