Police brutality has been a mainstay in the media for decades, but it seems like it’s been even more of a focal point since the death of Mike Brown, although they have been far too many cases since.
Akevius — a fresh artist from Charlotte signed to Polow Da Don’s Zone 4 imprint — is a young black man who has had to live life through an adverse situation involving his blood brother and the Myrtle Beach police. During a run in with the law, Akevius’ brother was fatally shot by the police, cutting his life much shorter than anyone’s should ever be.
