Ray Kincaid focuses in on social injustice with “Handshake 2”

Ray Kincaid made quite the impression on me with his “Artistic Depression” album and is gearing up for his next release. Titled “Bizarre Arcade 2”, the album is set to come in the near future. To help build anticipation the latest Kincaid single is now free to hear and it is a sequel to one of the standout’s on the aforementioned Artistic Depression LP “Handshake”.

Keeping with a similar theme as the first, Ray focuses in on social injustice and does so with fierce lyricism. The track starts with a thunderous sounding beat from Lebanon Don, which is co-produced by DJ O. As it continues forth it then moves into a soulful spoken word piece before ultimately ending with dialogue on America as seen from the black perspective today. It’s a well rounded and thought provoking record.

Listen below and stay locked for “Bizarre Arcade 2” which will come via Greenhouse Records and Offbeat.
