Interview: Fatt Fisher talks starting rap career, #WWW mixtape and more

There is an age old theme dealing with the streets and hip-hop. After all, some of the earliest forms of the genre deal with impoverished neighborhoods and the acts that come out of living in one. From the 90’s with West Coast acts like Snoop or Easy E, to Young Jeezy’s run in the 2000’s the voice of the streets remain relevant. Helping to tell the stories of his own lifestyle is none other than Fatt Fisher.

Coming from Moss Point, MS, a town that has been known to make or break people, Fisher found himself living the lifestyle many would consider to be of a gangster. To know Fatt Fisher though is to know a man who is smart, and simply adapted to the environment handed to him. In the current the rising talent has used his past and the lessons learned to transition into a legit musician and businessman. With roughly a year under his belt since deciding to follow this dream, Fisher has established himself in ways unimaginable.

His debut project “Wealth, Weed and Women” instantly became a hit on the regional level. The tape as a whole has been streamed nearly 6,000 times on Spinrilla alone, with several 100 physical copies in rotation as well. The quality and charisma in his sound has led to opportunities with industry notables like Cash Money affiliate BPace, OVO representative DJ Slim and many more.

The wave is definitely trending upward for Fatt Fisher as we enter 2017. With two projects in the works and a bevy of other suprises we sought to speak with him about it all to get some insight. You can get some as well by watching part one of our video interview below.
