We at 1DF are happy to announce our partnership with Marc Hughes Music on a new concert series! Titled, “The Sound”, the showcases will display some of the greatest indie acts throughout the great state of Mississippi. What makes things even greater is that shows will not be limited to ANY genres, we simply want to give the artist a platform for which to spread their name.
The first iteration of “The Sound” will take place Sunday, March 12 at 13th Street Bistro in Gulfport, MS. We have a strong lineup of lyricists, singers and spoken word artists who will grace the stage in front of our highly respected celebrity judges. Each artist will share their work while competing for a special package awarded to the night’s standout performer.
The prize package will start with a check for $250 and an official trophy, but also includes everything needed to form a new original single courtesy of The Sound. A recording session at The Underground Talent Center, cover art crafted to your specific vision from master artist Qin Mobley, and digital distribution to blogs and promotional platforms via 1stDayFresh. It’s the type of prize that is rare to find but one we are happy to provide in hopes of bringing much deserved skill to the limelight.
To say that the show is going to be one to behold is an understatement. We have gone through the process of hand picking 9 talented individuals who greatly represent the prestigious sound of Mississippi and are happy to bring them to you all.
