The latest freestyle in the line of entries from chart-topping female hip-hop recording artist T BARZ is here. “1998” was written by T Barz and was produced by she and Lou Humphrey. It acts as the 3rd installment of T BARZ’s weekly freestyle series, “BARZ ON THURSDAYS”, where for the next six-Thursdays she will release a new freestyle leading up to the upcoming release of her debut EP, “Genesis”. The EP will be released this August and is led by the party-starter single, “Two Way”, available on streaming platforms now.
“I wanted to have fun and reminisce to the past on a lighter subject than my previous freestyles, all while showing respect to a few artists that impacted me during this specific year. The year was 1998. This is when music started making sense to me and spoke to me on a level that it never did before,” says T Barz. “Some of those artists includes; Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, Johnny Gill, Uncle Luke, Usher and Next among others,” she adds.
