We’ve been singing the praise of Judson Wright for months now hear at 1DF. Since being introduced to the singer it’s safe to say he has become one of our favorite artists to keep an eye on and an ear to. Seemingly with each release he drops it only further showcases his immense talent. This is no different with today’s new release entitled “Lay Low”.
The single is already my favorite of his, which is saying something as I have literally loved everything he has made to date. A horn-heavy piece of production from Captain and K-Twist drives the track in a fashion similar to “The Social Experiment” era of Chance The Rapper’s career. We see Judson take an approach on the record more akin to that of an MC rather than he usual crooning. All around it’s a good listen.
As usual Judson Wright is able to craft a song that is equal parts substance and forward-sounding sonic energy. He has a few more tricks in store before the year is out so keep your eye on him. In the meantime, listen to his new single “Lay Low” now below and let us know if you’re feeling it.
