Sonta presents her “Type of Way” video

Singer, songwriter, rapper Sonta premieres new single, “Type of Way” exclusively with Soul Bounce (Machine Entertainment Group/The Orchard). The single will appear on Sonta’s forthcoming project Hood Love Vol. 1 which will be released this Summer.

Sonta’s new single “Type of Way” challenges men to get right or get lost. “Type of Way” is, as the title suggests, a ballad that explores human emotion. The visual highlights themes of trust, commitment, and love. Soul Train award-winning publication, Soul Bounce wrote, “Jesus himself said “the truth shall set you free,” and singer-songwriter Sonta wants her man to take those words to heart and do better in her new single “Type Of Way.”

Viewers will instantly be captivated by Sonta’s beauty. She flexes her vocal chops in beautifully shot performance scenes expressing her frustration. Those shots are intertwined with scenes of Sonta arguing with her beau. The heartfelt lyrics heard in “Type of Way” reaffirms her devotion to truth. The song features production by Kosine (Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Tamar Braxton) and Grammy-nominated songwriter-producer DJ Camper (Elle Varner, Big Sean, John Legend).

Soul Bounce adds, “She [Sonta] takes her man to task for playing with her emotions, at one point even interpolating a bit of Toni Braxton’s “Just Be A Man About It” to get her point across.”

Sonta is forging her own path in the music industry since making waves in 2018 with her debut project  In My Feelings which has more than 15 million streams to date. Her breakout single “You Ain’t Sh*t” gained over 1.2 million views on YouTube and her follow up single, “Who Is She” surpassed the 5.4 million view mark.
