Mathew V brings his new visual for his fast-rising single “Catching Feelings”. In regards to it all here are a few words from the artist himself:
“The music video market is so saturated. For the “Catching Feelings” music video, I really wanted to do something unconventional. When director Gabriel Adelman (Allan Rayman, Jessie Reyez) approached myself and the team with this concept, we got exactly that. The video follows Space Zaddy (me, if I do say so myself) as I crash land on a foreign planet, and catch some feelings for my Gaylien counterpart on the dance floor. The video is slightly campy, fun and colourful… like me on evenings and weekends. If you really want to dive in, it highlights the trials and tribulations of “forbidden love” that we face everyday, internally and externally in the queer community. But, if you don’t want to think too hard, you can just enjoy an alien popping and locking on the dance floor. That’s pretty cool with me too.” – Mathew V
