MRG drops the sequel to his debut EP with “Live From The Hurst 2”

Nearly two years removed from his debut EP Live From The Hurst, Dominican-American rapper MRG releases the project’s consummate sequel Live From The Hurst 2 today. Serving as MRG’s full-length debut album, Live From The Hurst 2 is now available on all digital streaming platforms via Westvilla MusicDJ Mostwanted (credited on Young MA‘s smash hit “Ooou”, etc.), multi-platinum producer Superstaar (producer for 6ix9inePnB RockChief Keef, etc.), Fortune (producer for Rae Sremmurd, Elhae, etc.), and more provide the album’s sprawling soundscape of hip-hop, trap, and r&b-infused latin and caribbean influences.  From entrepreneurial aspirations inspired by Nipsey Hussle (“Big Plans”), to personal accounts of love (“Feels”, “Brokenhearted”), and carefree, urbano party jams (“Bad Gyal”, “The Way It Goes”), Live From The Hurst 2 is an album that spans the gamut of the human experience.

It’s been a rough year watching the head of my family, fight cancer, deal with chemo, and spend weeks in and out of the hospital every month. My father’s fight, and especially his charisma while fighting, has pushed me and motivated me to make this the best debut album I possibly can. This album is dedicated to him for everything he’s done for my family and I…  It was written and recorded live from my bedroom in Elmhurst (aka ‘The Hurst’), Queens, New York.”  – MRG
