On the heels of the release of MRG‘s full-length debut album, Live From The Hurst 2, the Dominican-American rapper shares the A1Vision-directed visuals for the project’s “new school” New York hood anthem “AFWM” today.
“The piano riff reminded me of the Mister Softee ice cream theme song, so we shot a video in ice cream trucks posing as ice cream employees when we really trappin’. We also shot half the video in uptown Manhattan, Washington Heights. We shot the video on the same block where my father and his side of the family was raised after moving from Dominican Republic.” – MRG
