Want to know one thing about rap in 2022 that is different than it has historically been? The amount of women running the game right now. While it’s obviously still a male dominant genre, the playing field is getting leveled up by the day. More and more female MC’s are making major waves and with more talented ladies on the way up it’s sure to continue.
One young lady who should be on your radar is 2Diamondsz. She comes to the scene as a bit of a supernova, seemingly popping up out of no where with her immaculate 2021 EP “Applying Pressure”. The project was aptly titled as she has remained a major factor in the underground rap scene down south.
As Moss Point, Mississippi’s 2Diamondsz prepares to make the next steps in her career I’d advise you to get on the train now. Her unapologetic swagger and knack for flows has her primed for a takeoff this year. Check her out.
Bringing the raw street sound to your speakers is Kreole Trey. Hailing from Moss Point, the rapper has built his name up on catchy tunes that stick the ribs with their realism. His vibe represents where the culture is at the time with upbeat productions and melodic flows abound.
Kreole Trey has been a presence for years now, with his late 2010’s run of singles and mixtapes making his name ring out within the streets. His talent has only grown, evident by recent releases such as “Upper Room”, “Me” and “Shiesty Ways” all matching some of his largest streaming totals to date. With Trey’s work ethic I’m sure that’s a trend that will only continue.
Kreole Trey has worked hard to build his name as one of the coast’s premiere MC’s and with one listen it’s easy to feel the same way about him. Beyond the skill level is just the overall swagger which just screams future star. Jump on the bandwagon now.
As one of the more tenured rappers in the deep south, Bianca Clarke has made herself one of the standout talents over her time. The Mobile, Alabama native’s music is as catchy as it is honest and it’s evident as her fanbase grows year after year. If you’ve been paying attention at all you know Bianca is on her way to stardom and has been since she began making mixtapes in the mid 2010’s.
Dropping her first studio album “Queen of Tha South” back in 2017, Bianca Clarke has followed up with “Queenavelli” and “Pretty Thug”. Over the course of all three projects she has made bangers of her own, accumulating hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube alone. Her talent has landed her some impressive collaborative efforts as well, with artists like Yung Bleu, Trina, Rylo Rodriguez and more all having appeared alongside her.
The on stage experience of Bianca Clarke has also been highly lauded, with her taking part in performances all throughout the country. Consider Bianca a seasoned vet both in the booth and outside of it. They don’t call her the Queen for no reason.
Are you looking for an MC who has the lyrical ability will leave you satisfied? Someone whose punchlines stick to the gut with metaphors that are next level? Well Gautier, Mississippi’s Napalm Nash is the guy for you.

After sharpening his skills with freestyle and single releases, Napalm Nash made waves with his debut LP “Obviously I’m Different”. The record was a success, drawing the eyes needed to sculpt his fanbase.
The grind didn’t stop there for Nash, as he has gone on to continue to release pieces of art that have garnered him more and more attention. His 2021 visual “Drama” has been viewed nearly 40,000 times and his latest release is at 2,500 views in just a two week period.
