joan team up with Japanese artist NOA for “superglue”

Indie pop duo joan has just released a new version of their cinematic love song “superglue”. The new take features Japanese trilingual singer NOA.

“superglue featuring NOA” is a must listen emotional track all about the bond between father and daughter. The song though also touches on the universal theme of overall love and protection. “As new dads, we were like, ‘What if we wrote this about our girls?’,” recalls Alan. “We want them to know we’re superglue for them. We’re the guys you can run to when you’re sad or you want to rejoice because something happy happened at school. If you’re not a parent, it can be about someone you really care about. We’re singing it to our little girls though.”

On the new collaboration NOA confides, “I am very honored to be participating in joan’s new song “superglue.” I am also very happy that the collaboration that I wanted to achieve is being delivered to everyone so quickly after a wonderful encounter. I am sure that there would be a part for everyone to sympathize with in the Japanese lyrics written from my perspective and the message the song “superglue” holds. I hope many people will listen to it. I am very grateful to joan and my fans for making this happen. The result is a touching musical effort sure to inspire love, connection and devotion in all of us.

The three further teamed up to create a fun music video which documented them in the studio and hanging out in NYC. The video expresses the joy found in the song and includes lyrics so listeners can sing-along.
