Theron Thomas Breaks Records on Spotify and Celebrates the Release of New R. City Mixtape

R. City is a duo of brothers Timo Makaveli and Theron Thomas. Outside of his work on R. City, Thomas is also a record breaking songwriter and producer. His most recent work on Jung Kook’s “Seven” (feat. Latto) made history as the fastest song to ever reach 1 billion streams on Spotify. Thomas is riding high on a hot streak with collaborations on Lil Durk / J. Cole’s #1 summer hit “All My Life” and Ciara’s “How We Roll” with Chris Brown. Continuing to build momentum, R. City has just released a new mixtape of their own entitled This Is Not A Drill…This Is Really Happening! The freshly released mixtape offers island-infused sonics that weave between UK drill inspired beats and reverberating notes of 808s. The project is an ode to R. City’s identity as Virgin Islanders with influence drawn from the UK drill movement for a sound that is unlike anything in existence. This Is Not A Drill…This Is Really Happening! is a longstanding tease from R. City that fans have been patiently waiting for, and with the recent success on Jung Kook’s “Seven”, it couldn’t have dropped at a better moment. R. City has collaborated on two

Grammy-nominated albums including Rihanna’s Unapologetic and Ariana Grande’s My Everything. Widely recognized for their Billboard Hot 100 hit  “Locked Away” featuring Adam Levine, R. City has garnered upwards of 1 billion+ collective streams across platforms. This Is Not A Drill…This Is Really Happening! is their latest release.
