Ted Z and the Wranglers are back with another roots rock masterpiece. The song is entitled “Williamsburg” and it is the third single off of their upcoming album Kerosene. The track is also released alongside a music video where we get a glimpse of the band in the studio.
“Williamsburg” is a heartfelt melody rich anthem of honesty and devotion. Ted Z confides, “The idea behind the lyrics and feel of the tune was an ode to my son and a call to action to be a “better man than me”. My past is riddled with questionable decisions and there was a time where I was not extremely proud of my behavior. Much of that was a consequence of overindulgence in substances that were not beneficial to my growth as a person. The song is a reminder that people can make life changes and embark on a path of growth and light. It lends itself to the hope that the next generation will be wiser and more resilient and heed the advice of past mistakes by those that came first.” This personal narrative is important and heartfelt and a wonderful dedication from a father to a son. Emotional guitars, rich harmonies and a catchy hook are hallmarks of this Americana song.
Ted Z and the Wranglers are a band based out of Southern California. The collective fuse Americana, rock, blues and country for a sound all their own. Take a listen and watch the new video and get lost in the sound!
