Aklesso & Ty Brasel Releases New Track “He Did It”

After releasing “Outta Time” with help from Aha Gazelle & Kaden Jordan as well recently being featured on XXL’s The Break, Haitian-American Hip-Hop artist Aklesso enlists Ty Brasel for “He Did It.” Produced by in-house instrumentalist Enzo Gram, the track finds the pair trading high-energy verses that refuse to let bad news win.

In a press statement about the new drop, the MIA native reveals:

“Around November last year, I was focused on a lot of the bad that was going on in my life. Found out a program I was involved in got cancelled, which hurt my family financially and at the same time we found out we were having our second child. It was a scary time for me. Not too long after that I got a random text from Heather B (Sway In The Morning) who sent me a song about gratitude. I was so worried about what was wrong that I didn’t take time to realize all the great things happening simultaneously.”

Known for fusing raw honesty, spiritual depth, and cultural identity into a sound that’s uniquely his own, Aklesso’s music resonates with a growing audience hungry for authenticity. Raised between worlds, Aklesso’s work reflects a beautiful tension, wrestling with faith, identity, mental health, and social justice through a lens that is unfiltered, yet full of hope.

His standout projects like My Life is a Beautiful Mess (2020), Sonus, Vol. 1 (2022), and Loner (2024) showcase his genre-blending style and storytelling ability. Popular singles like “Look!,” “Climate Change” (ft. GAWVI & Wordsplayed), and “The World” (with Jaylon Ashaun) reveal a voice willing to speak truth in turbulent times.

With his soulful melodies, honest bars, and cinematic visuals, Aklesso is not just an artist; he’s a movement, building bridges between the sacred and the real.
