Maka uses her gift to motivate on “Boxed In”

Nigerian Soul Singer, Maka has done what many singers in her field would be hesitant to do – cover a rap song.

On Jay-Z’s very controversial song off his 4:44 album, “The Story Of OJ”, Maka interprets the song in her own way with the title, “Boxed In”.

She talks about black pride and the need to change the usual narrative of the way her people are being viewed around the world. She also encourages every person, male or female, creative or not, to use every unique talent or gift bestowed on them as a means to positively impact their immediate societies.
