Jay Lyriq addresses the hustle and relationships on “Schedule”

R&B singer Jay Lyriq, who co-wrote T-Pain’s platinum hit “Up Down (Do This All Day)” and several songs for his albums Epiphany and Thr33 Ringz, is dropping a new solo single “Schedule” on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

The Hard N B ballad produced by Gerald Geo Hall is about a topic anyone in a relationship can relate to — making time for each other. “Schedule” was inspired by a lesson Jay Lyriq learned the hard way. “‘Schedule’ is basically about being on the road, being on the go and having your significant other at home being neglected,” he says. “You feel like you’re out here making money, doing things you always dreamed of. But you’re overlooking her because you’re buying her all of these things, but the main thing that she wants is you.”

“It actually happened to me,” he adds. “My wife doesn’t care about all that stuff. I didn’t make the time, but I did make time for other females when I was on the road. I got caught up, and I realized that I was not doing her right. I pushed her to someone else.”
