Fueled by the ongoing worldwide protests against systemic racism and police brutality, Chicago-MC Navvi Upside has delivered his uplifting new single “Never Lose.”
Equipped with thunderous rolling synths backed by hearty 808 drum patterns “Never Lose” is more of a banger than a social justice PSA. Nevertheless, he manages to inject an unprecedented level of emotion and angst in his lyrical attack as he raps, “We could never lose, press the issue we don’t follow rules.”
Navvi broke onto the scene in 2018 off the strength of his easy-listening hit “Benz.” Since then, he has worked behind the scenes for a number of reputable artists and brands including Jeremih and Interscope records. He is currently gearing up for the release of his Faint EP.
