Exclusive Interview: Meet Up and Coming London Artist Rex Brezie

What is your name and what city do you rep?

Rex Brezie, South London.

Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?

Prison is a place where you can get lost, I did this song for people to know all you have to do is focus on your fewcher, and my understanding of what prison life is, this is why I call the song pain and tears.

What is unique about you and your music?

It’s a bridge for young and old experiences.

What shaped your music?

Being in prison and the streets.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally? 

When I was in jail, because there has to be another way.

What type of music do you listen to? 

Rap, grime and hip hop.

What inspires you to write music? 

My future, my kids and my family. Focus on my kids. Seeing them grow up better than I did.                       

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about? 

Make money is a main focus for me spending time with my kids and working on my craft.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out? 

believing in yourself (this is your life and your dream).
