New York’s JIMKATA are not your typical indie rock band. The trio write music around existential topics, with their latest single and video being no different. Entitled “Liar With The Lights On”, JIMKATA examines what it must be like to live as a scoundrel, stealing during the day and making decisions that hurt those around you. They further detail what that guilt must feel like when one realizes the harm they are causing. Though the subject is indeed dark, the music is colorful and bright with psych and funk filled soundscapes.
“Liar With The Lights On” is off of the band’s upcoming album Bonfires set for release this Spring. Check out their new video and sit back and think how you can become a better person.
