Indie-rock artist Jason Singer, better known as Michigander, has released his electrifying new single “Stay Out Of It” via C3 Records. Building onto the catchy vocal riffs that Michigander loves to feature within his music, “Stay Out Of It” presents as a window into Singer’s innermost thoughts as he struggles with choosing to speak up and express his feelings, even when the moment may not be right. Blending with the vibrant vocals, “Stay Out f It” features differing guitar riffs that flows with the catchy melody and pairs with the shifting tonality of the song, bringing the track into something deeper than just your typical pop release. Co-written with Danen Reed Rector (Charlotte Sands, James Droll) and bandmates Aaron Senor and Jake LeMond, “Stay Out Of It” perfectly encapsulates what Michigander brings to the music scene with every new release: meaningful lyrics set over memorable beats and compelling vocals that paint a clear picture of the message Michigander wants to convey through music.

Accompanying the new single is also a brand-new music video, directed by Johnny Chew (Broken Bells, Nick Jonas). In talking about the experience and thought process behind the video, Singer shares, “I made this video in LA with the incredible Johnny Chew and focused on a narrative of being comfortable with the inevitable. It’s a theme that has stuck in my brain for a while – the mentality that we can’t let ‘the end’ dictate what we do today. Can’t let ‘death’ keep us from living our life.”
