Savannah’s Clay Hodges and Quanna Connect in Visuals to “Cut Up Queen” off Hodges’ ‘B Good 2 U’ Album

Savannah rapper Clay Hodges made great strides in 2022 and received a lot of support in his hometown, in not only his music, but also activism with his B Good 2 U foundation. Now as we enter into a new year, he’s back focused on the music and delivers exciting new visuals for his single “Cut Up Queen” featuring fellow Savannah native and femcee Quanna.

The visuals, continues the Savannah link up with the direction handled by the Port’s 283rd where we find Clay Hodges and Quanna getting physical as they stretch it out in the high energy banger that’s laced with bouncy production perfect to turn up any club or party. Ironically, most of the shots were filmed at the Savannah Wellness Lounge, a Black woman owned day spa, which perfectly sets the scene of the visuals and Clay wanted to highlight the complexities of women on this record by showing them going from the yoga studio to the stripper pole.

This track comes off Clay Hodges’ 2022 album ‘B Good 2 U’ in which the rapper opens up about his 2 year journey of self reflection in the form of a therapy session, which in some instances can be intimate and vulnerable, and at the same time fun and empowering like on tracks such as “Cut Up Queen”. “I can get on a trap record and still sound like Clay. I can get on an R&B record and still sound like Clay. No matter what element I’m in, I still want to be me,” he shares with Savannah Now.
