Ski Team’s “Me” is exquisite

Ski Team is truly a creative musician and an impeccable storyteller. Her new song and music video “Me” is the perfect example of this. The Jersey raised artist who now resides in Brooklyn teamed up with an all-star list of collaborators including producer Daniel Knowles, saxophone player Matt Podell, musician Ian Lozinski and more.

“Me” is a textured slice of alternative pop with delicate vocals, dreamy production and a catchy chorus. The song is filled with moments of brilliance and fun lyrical references, even a chihuahua is included.  The track is a delicate balance between hope and fear, a song about navigating the complexities of relationships and specifically the roles of relationships.  She confides, ” I guess it’s about realizing if you have to assign roles, maybe it’s not as special as you think. And like challenging this idea of roles being the whole of someone’s identity. It’s scary to not know who’s on your roster, or who you are without a particular person/job/trait/whatever, and just go forth into life’s abyss as a human, but it’s often better for everyone involved to get on with it. Pick yourself up, focus on yourself, and let everything and everyone else kind of settle around you,” shares the artist.”

Overall “Me” is a beautiful, carefully crafted song that adds depth and dimension to her sound.  The song was released with a music video directed by Sabrina Roberts which is also a treat and a perfect visual representation.
