Rozy Yan Becomes 1st Armenian Rapper To Share Stage With RBL Posse

Rozy Yan is shining a light on the Armenian community in the City of Roses with pride following her latest headlining show.

For those who are just now becoming privy to the name, Rozy Yan is the world’s first female Armenian rapper who hails from Pasadena, California. Last month she teamed up with RBL Posse, the legendary Bay Area rap group known for their raw lyrics and deep influence on West Coast Hip-Hop for a historic night at the world renowned Whiskey a Go Go. For Rozy, the experience of the show was an exciting whirlwind, which she told 1stDayFresh all began thanks to her team. “DJ Mamba introduced us to the opportunity,” she shared, recalling the planning process.

Along with Rozy and including DJ Mamba, Raffi, Money Waterz, and Whiteboycellz pulled off a seamless performance, which doubled as a soft launch for the new-look Rich Rose Entertainment squad. “It was a very fun and exciting process,” she said with pride.

She continued, “Whiskey a Go Go stage was ‘AMAZING,’ like Jesse Peterson would say.”

In addition to gracing the stage with her upcoming unreleased collaboration “P.I.U. (Pick It Up)” with artist producer Whiteboycellz, Rozy Yan also delivered stunning live renditions from her barrage of 2024 hits including “No No” and “YKWIW (You Know What I Want).” As for her guest performances, she brought along Money Waterz, a fellow Rich Rose Entertainment artist.

“We as a team decided the playlist,” she said. “I chose Waterz because he is a Rich Rose artist and I work with him. I chose Whiteboycellz, because he is very talented and I just did a feature song.” That single is set to drop in January 2025, adding another milestone to her ever-growing career.
