California-based duo UNTER STRØM has released their EP Between Forms a four song musical exploration of techno, melodic house, industrial and more. The last song to be released from the EP is the melodic and atmospheric “Stumbling”.
“Stumbling” is compelling as the track develops through shifting arpeggios, submerged textures, and gradually evolving rhythms. Its atmosphere is spacious, cinematic and infectious creating the sensation of moving through an expansive landscape. There is a palpable tension between serenity and intensity, with the production allowing each element enough room to breathe.
That sense of space is arguably the track’s defining characteristic. The music evokes images of open air, rain, forests, and distant movement, while maintaining enough rhythmic momentum to remain connected to the dance floor.
