Tracklib Is Giving Producers A Chance To Compete For A Meeting With 9th Wonder

Music licensing service Tracklib is hosting a beat battle in honor of legendary American keyboardist Bob James and 9th Wonder will be one of the judges of the competition.

Jame’s music has been sampled by over 1,500 artists including the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah, A$AP Rocky and countless others. His iconic song “Nautilus” has become one of the most-sampled songs in Hip Hop history and has been re-worked by everyone from Run DMC to Freddie Gibbs.

James recently added over 20-tracks from his discography to Tracklib and is now joining forces with veteran producer and music executive 9th Wonder for an epic challenge that yields numerous prizes including a year long subscription to Tracklib, along with several software goodies and other priceless gifts.

Detailed guidelines of the competition can be found here, along with an outline of the competition as follows below;

  1. Make a beat by sampling ‘Nautilus‘ by Bob James
  2. Upload a video of your beat to Instagram (max 60 seconds) before the end of the day, Sunday the 14th of March, 2021 (all timezones included)
  3. Include your Tracklib account username or email in the description of the Instagram post
  4. Tag the video with #tracklibbeatbattle
  5. Tag at least two producer friends in your post who shouldn’t miss out on this Beat Battle
  6. Follow Tracklib on Instagram
