Owen Duff’s “One Word” Is Musical Genius

U.K. based singer and multi-instrumentalist Owen Duff is an unconventional songwriter whose music draws influence from personal experiences. His latest single is entitled “One Word” and is a wind-swept 70s folk/rock tune with dynamic chord changes and a punchy chorus. “One Word” is off of his upcoming album bed which narrates a longterm relationship from the beginning to the end. From the excitement and honeymoon stage to the ultimate breakup and dissolution with love, Owen Duff’s highly relatable lyrics are touching as they are important. On bed, Owen Duff further examines his own sexuality and coming to the terms of potentially not having his own children.

Sonically, his music is best described as Bjork meets Belle And Sebastian with a touch of Laurel Canyon 70s influence thrown in. His musicality shines through with the prolific songwriter playing and programming nearly all the instruments on his album.
