Knowledge, Respect and Culture. Three words that hold heavy value and meaning but can also be expressed differently through each individual person. For rising MC King Rab it’s the embodiment he puts into his everyday life. As a rapper, entrepreneur, community leader and more he aims to make sure this is pushed to the forefront at any given opportunity.

Fresh off a new video release and upcoming EP announcement with Reek Exclusive, we picked the mind of the budding talent to see how he operates. Follow the full Q&A below:

Thanks for chatting with us today, for anyone who is new to you could you give us an introduction and tell us a bit about yourself?

Hello my name is Rondell Walsh formerly known as King Rab. I’m a Barber, Rapper, Fashion Designer, and Actor. I’m heavily involved in giving back to my community and standing up for the citizens rights within my community. I enjoy the simple things in life like music, arts, crafts, and culture.

What was your childhood like and how do you feel it reflects in your work today?

As a child I grew up pretty fast and was mentored by some older great men. I faced a lot of trials and tribulations at a young age but it was God’s grace that allowed good ppl to come and help navigate me to where I’m at today! It’s numerous close friends and family who have played a major role in my life behind the scenes and in public. I’m forever grateful and they know who they are till this day.

When did you fall in love with music and what song or artist resonated with you most at that time?

I really fell in love with music after hearing my sister play old school RnB on tape cassettes in her boom box and car. Keith Sweat, Jodeci, and Blackstreet were the artist she played on a regular basis and that caught my attention.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard it?

My style is very unique because at times I sound like a rapper from the south and also a rap per from up north. When you hear me enough you will for sure become familiar with my voice.

What do you think is your strongest attribute as an artist?

My ability to add energy and life to a record.

What is the one thing you’re working to improve on currently?

I’m for sure working on networking with others in different regions and building a network for my brand and music.

You recently linked up with Reek Exclusive for a new single “Main One”, what was that whole process like?

It was an amazing and effortless process! I have known Reek Exclusive for 6 years prior to us doing this song which was our very first song together! Reek is a very talented artist and I’m looking forward to our joint EP titled New Wave set to come out either this fourth quarter or first quarter next year.

You all are coming together for an EP together as well, what about the styles or compatibility made you two want to work together in such a fashion?

Reek Exclusive is an amazing artist who is talented at giving melodic harmonies and crazy candence with her delivery. I felt like my traditional rap style and her unique style would create a new sound for the music world. I can’t wait till the world hear what we have in store.

What can fans expect from the project when it arrives?

The project will have all types of moods and melodic energy that will flow from start to finish. It’s literally something on this project that everyone could appreciate.

What else should people be on the lookout for from you?

Be on the lookout for my new KRC apparel formerly known as Knowledge Respect Culture! I have some new trendy exclusives style that will be out this Fall and don’t want to be left out!!!

What’s something you’ve always wanted people to know about you that they may not know?

I’m very passionate about giving back and helping mentor righteous people to become a better version of themselves.

What is your biggest goal for the remainder of 2021?

To broaden my network and gain more exposure in all my businesses.
