The Slashes release shoegaze influenced “Valentine Slip”

San Diego based trio The Slashes have released their highly anticipated new single “Valentine Slip”. The track is an experimental blend of shoegaze, dream rock and 80’s inspired post punk. The rich and deep lo-fi vocals highlight the song’s introspective meaning of acceptance of self even the dark parts of ourselves.

The Slashes are Esteban Rene (vocals/guitar), Beto Bautista (bass), and Carlos Robles (drums). The trio met and formed in San Diego and burst onto the scene in 2015 with their self-titled debut album. Since then, the band has been building a steady following with their post punk releases a la The Smiths and Joy Division and energetic live performance.
