Brooklyn’s Middle Part shares their latest single off of their highly acclaimed album Time Is Elastic. Called “Balance”, the single is a slow-burned and lush indie pop standout.
“Balance” was created in a singular moment proclaims frontman Andrew Selkōw. He further confides, “I was living in fear that I was disappointing my parents and that they would outlive me. The idea behind the song is my explanation of why I was such a mess, but reminding them that I would be okay.” That important and relatable narrative showcases what Middle Part does best, share and relay life’s hardest feelings in infectious and cathartic indie musical releases. “Balance” features acoustic guitars under moody vocals and reflective and dreamy soundscapes for a must listen.
Middle Part is singer/songwriter, musician Andrew Selkōw and collaborator/producer Brian Zaremba. Drawing inspiration from both 90’s and early Millenium alternative bands, the duo create nostalgic music but with a fresh perceptive. Their latest album Time Is Elastic touches upon themes including depression, addiction and connection.
