LA based Jordan Duffy’s new album Nights Like These is a jam packed 10 track oasis of sound. The new music is a genre-fusing good time and incorporates synthwave, dream pop, rock, folk, and more. Nights Like These is her debut album and it follows her 2023 EP No Big Deal.
Nights Like These is all about those late night thoughts, she shares, “It is about the ‘what ifs’ or ‘what could have been’. Reminiscing on those who have hurt me or let me down, about those I cared for and wish could be more, but sadly never will be. And the album ends (purposefully) on a wishful note for the future.” The standout track “Not Your Dream Girl” is a perfect representation of Jordan’s songwriting and singing power. The song is catchy and enveloping as it is relatable. Jordan sings to her friend that she wishes for more, a love connection, but she is shy and won’t push it. This longing is perfectly captured in a synth pop package that entices with every listen.
Jordan is not only known for her music but her videos are making a big splash. She sets the scene for a teenage love affair with an alien in the new music video for “Not Your Dream Girl”. The artist partnered with the Painfully Creative Production team for the mini movie.
