Belgian-Moroccan artist, DJ and producer Zaatar who is now based in France has just unleashed her latest electronic single “Bahnsteigkante”. The track is the latest off of renegade label Breathing Records’ new compilation INHALE Vol. 2.
“Bahnsteigkante” is an experimental track that fuses dark electronic with hints of rock, goth, and EBM. The song features futuristic synths, an electro vocoder over bass heavy rock-infused beats. Zaatar was just named as a DJ to watch by DJ Magazine in France and with “Bahnsteigkante”, listeners can see why. The single is the perfect addition to INHALE Vol. 2., an innovative and riveting compilation of the best of boundary-pushing artists of the avant-garde, underground, industrial, and dark electronic world.
Not only is Zaatar creating music that must be heard, she also began her own event series, “Dead-Or-Alive?”, a project dedicated to EBM and post-punk aesthetics, conceived as a meeting point between live concerts and club culture, a natural extension of her artistic vision.
