Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Elthia creates innovative indie pop fused with classical guitars. Her debut single is entitled “i love you but you make me cry” and it gives us all the feels. The track details a broken relationship and how a partner can just shut down and build walls. Elthia confides, “The message of the song is to tell the story of what it’s like to love something that hurts you every time you try to understand it. I wanted to show the duality of the two ideas that are constantly at war while existing inside of you, and showcase what the breaking point would actually be, if there is one at all.”
The single is a powerful narrative and track for this new up-and-comer. Elthia’s earthly vocals cascade along electronic influenced folk soundscapes, making for the perfect fall soundtrack. With more music to come, we are excited to hear what Elthia has for us next.
