Ryan Montbleau’s “Wood” Is A Rustic Folk Gem

New England folk meets acoustic pop singer/songwriter Ryan Montbleau has just released a delightful three song EP. Entitled Wood, the EP is the first of four distinctive releases, each highlighting a different earthly element. In Wood, Montbleau taps into his Americana and traditional stripped back folk influences but brings in an infectious pop sensibility. Wood thematically details existential rumination about what it is like to be human in these crazy times. Though the subject matter is heavy, the songs sonically dance in the lightness with major chords and warm vocals throughout.

The songwriter is a well known performer and self described “troubadour” who at times has played upwards of 200 shows a year. His originals and covers have racked up an impressive over 100 million streams and he has built a dedicated fanbase through his enthralling live performances.
