Neo-soul singer/songwriter Claire Reneé just released her glowing new single and visuals for “Red Lights,” which is off her latest album entitled Wings.
As an ode to silence, in “Red Lights” the singer-songwriter encourages us all to practice mindfulness, as not living in the present can leave us feeling spiritually, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. Claire confides, “‘Red Lights’ is a song that I wrote when l felt super frustrated and stagnant, yet I felt like I was on a hamster wheel and couldn’t get off. Everything around me seemed to be moving so quickly. It’s about taking time to slow down and sit with ourselves, sometimes even heeding to signs from our own ancestors and spirit guides.” The song features an eclectic mixture of jazz, hip hop, and tender piano chords that softly blend together, creating a beautiful and wildly brilliant composition that conveys the true soul and heart of the artist. The accompanying visuals for “Red Lights” feature Claire exploring a local bookstore, washed over in red color, as she looks to the wisdom of the past to find truth, refuge and peace.
As Mother Theresa once said, “See how nature—trees, flowers, grass—grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence. We need silence to be able to touch souls.”
Thank you Claire Reneé for your wisdom, thoughtfulness, and for inspiring each and every one of us to prosper and heal.
