Donna Lewis pens important track “The Imposter”


Hitmaker, emotive singer-songwriter and transformative creator Donna Lewis has returned with her latest single off of her upcoming album Rooms With A View, which details her year long journey through breast cancer. Called “The Imposter” the track once again showcases Donna’s songwriting ability and unique musical fusion.

“The Imposter” is a song details the dark and light of recovery. She shares, “During my treatment, I found myself in different rooms during different visits to the hospital. The verses step into these rooms and capture the fear, pain, and darkness of chemo’s side effects. But the chorus shines with love and light and gratitude. It’s a thank-you, both to the medical staff who cared for me, but also to myself for being a little braver and a little stronger throughout the journey.” The track features anthemic vocals that are angelic in their delivery. Downtempo beats, dark hued synths and descriptive lyrics are also standouts in this important single.

Donna Lewis is known for her decades long career as a popular songwriter and performer. The UK native’s latest album in in collaboration with acclaimed producer Holmes Ives. Her music resonates with hope and resilience.
