Crys Matthews pays homage in “Call Them In”

D.C. based singer-songwriter and activist Crys Matthews unveils her latest offering. Entitled “Call Them In”, the empowering folk pop tune is dedicated to all of the “freedom riders or letter writers” who help change the world for the better. One of those people who activated positive change is John Lewis, a statesmen, politician and civil rights activist. Crys Matthews so graciously dedicates “Call Them In” to John Lewis and even released the song on his birthday February 21st. Sonically, “Call Them In” features bright piano, soaring vocals and a climatic chorus that inspires a revolution full of love, acceptance and hope.

Crys Matthews is known for her infectious, acoustic songs filled with important socially conscious storytelling. “Call Them In” is off of her upcoming album Changemakers. She brilliantly fuses a myriad of genres in her music including Americana, blues, Jazz, folk and pop, and we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
